PhiDE Celebrations
Graduation season has begun and chapters continue to host senior send-off, end of the year banquets and formals. University of California, Irvine started the celebration season early with their annual spring ball open to all West Coast PhiDE chapters.
Epsilon Zeta at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences raised over $1500 in their second annual Dodge Ball Tournament for their local Children’s Miracle network Hospital.

Missouri Alpha was chartered on February 26, 2011 at Rockhurst University. Dr. Alissa Craft, Past International President, represented the International Board with our past Kansas Alpha Colony Coordinator, Alyssa Heinrich, and President, Maddy Schuman as chartering team members. The MO Alpha Colony Coordinator, Logan Jones, welcomed 44 students into the Fraternity.
District of Columbia Alpha was chartered on March 5, 2011 at Howard University. Foundation Board President, Dr. Martin Acquadro presided with Fraternity Board members Dr. Alissa Craft, Dr. Kelly Morrissey and chartering team members Chrissy Carney from Delaware Alpha and Roland Howard from New Jersey Beta. DC Alpha welcomes both their Founding and Alpha class members.
Northwestern University in Evanston, IL is home to our Illinois Gamma chapter. IL Gamma was chartered on April 16, 2011 by Dr. Lowell D. Katz, Dr. Karen Barnes and Dr. Alissa Craft. Jordan Harp, past International Premedical Student Delegate, joined fellow chapter members from IL Beta, Sonam Tanna and Tony Peter on the chartering team. IL Gamma Colony Coordinator, Danielle Nagel, initiated 45 new members into their founding class.
On May 7, 2011, we welcomed our Ohio Zeta chapter at The Ohio State University. OH Zeta Colony Coordinator, Tyler Gabbard, helped initiate 37 peers into our newest premedical chapter. Chartering Team members in Columbus, OH were Dr. Karen Barnes, past International Medical Student Representatives, Dr. Aaron Boyles, Russ Stitzlein MIV, and Eleni Horattas, President of OH Epsilon.
Fraters Serving their community
Our New York Lambda Chapter was chartered on September 10, 2011 at Cornell University. Past President, Dr. Alissa Craft presided with past Fraternity student representative, Natalie Pinzon and chartering team members Jase Sapper from New York Delta and Caitlin Mincer from New York Epsilon. NY Lambda welcomed 43 Founding members and recently added 23 Alpha class members to their roster. Special thanks to our officers and Colony Coordinator Jeriann Collymore.

We have Royalty in the Fraternity! Congratulations to Chapter Presidents, JD Whaley from OH Beta, Shane Naidoo from NY Iota and Devin Simon from MI Beta, for being elected onto their University Homecoming Courts!
Phi Delta Epsilon celebrated the 5th year of our partnership at the recent Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Celebration in Walt Disney World. Delegates from FL Beta joined CEO, Karen Katz at this event and were honored for raising over $14,000 in 2010 for their local hospital, Arnold Palmer. The delegates attended sponsorship sessions, met with the state and province Champion children and participated in a Pin Exchange.
So many of our members took part in local and international service projects. California Kappa had numerous students who traveled to Honduras with their UC Davis medical program to treat children and adults. Thank you all for making a difference!
